.......Eh! Latin or Greek!!??

.....well, that's it i guess about my Hostel.......One, silver linning in the cloud was however, that the girls at the hostel were very friendly.....I found that most knew english..so. communication would not be a problem i thought.......But, was it ever that easy....i mean i met my room mate.. "English", she said.."i can understand little...but am unable to speak...Do u know, Hindi?'' was the answer that met my query..... Well, all was not lost.. i mean i could understand Hindi, pretty good....but i had never to date had a conversation in that language.......Choice was mine.....it had to be either Hindi...or sign language..gathering all my courage i started to speak in broken Hindi..well, all was not bad....at least she was able to understand me..that was something.....Well, so something atleast was looking promising.. i mean i should have no problem conversing with the students..and they were all quite friendly..However, problem arose when more than one localite got together..then i was quite forgotten....i might not have existed at all....They start to chat away in Kannda......Kannada-A south Indian Language!!?? It sounded more like Greek or Latin to me....Did i say Greek or Latin.....no..way's at that moment even greek and latin seemed more simple. ....( even to date....after two years stay in Bangalore...still Kannada is a foreign Language to me!)

But, it was definitely not all bad, there.....the classes were excellent ..and so were the teacher's really good ..Oh! good...at least there i had two or three people to talk with me in Malayalam.... i never knew i loved my language soooo muchhh... I had just settled in...when it was time for me to go...ten days were over.....But, i knew i would have to come back again for my exams ( which i did) ....at least this time i knew what to expect...And do u know something i somehow scraped thrugh the exams....despite having no time to study.. Is'nt that just gree....aatt! NEWS.
